We are excited to share significant enhancements to our Econ Club, designed to provide a more enriching and comprehensive experience for both students and educators. As we plan for these changes ahead of the new academic year, we invite school leaders like you to contribute feedback and suggestions, ensuring our program meets the unique needs of your schools and students. Here’s what’s new:
Econ Club Webinars
Our revamped webinar series is set to offer a more dynamic and interactive learning environment. These webinars will cover a range of economic topics, from fundamental concepts to complex global economic issues. Each session is designed to enhance students’ understanding of economics in real-world contexts, facilitated by experts and thought leaders in the field. We aim to make these sessions as accessible as possible, scheduling them during convenient times to accommodate various school schedules. We welcome your insights on potential topics or speakers that would resonate with your students.
Mentorship Initiative
The Mentorship Initiative is a new addition aimed at providing students with direct access to experienced professionals in economics. This program pairs students with mentors who can offer guidance, career advice, and in-depth knowledge about the economic landscape. Our goal is to create meaningful connections that inspire and inform students, potentially shaping their future career paths in economics. Feedback on structuring these interactions to best suit students’ needs would be greatly appreciated.
Ambassadors Initiative
Our Ambassadors Initiative encourages students to become economic literacy advocates within their own communities. This program empowers students to organize local events, workshops, and discussions, spreading economic understanding and fostering a culture of knowledge-sharing. It’s a chance for students to develop leadership skills and engage with economics in active, impactful ways. We seek your input on how we can support your students in becoming effective ambassadors in their communities.
Research Challenge
The Research Challenge offers students the opportunity to engage deeply with economic research by exploring topics of personal and global significance. This component of the Econ Club encourages critical thinking and analytical skills, as students develop their own research projects under the guidance of economic professionals. The challenge culminates in a presentation day where students can showcase their findings. Your recommendations on resources, tools, and support needed for student research projects would be invaluable.
